5 ways to Achieve weight loss with Balanced diet

With all the motivation in the world to lose weight, do you ever get the feeling like all your hard work is getting you nowhere?  Are you so frustrated that you have given up in the battle of obesity? Don’t settle for high cholesterol and high blood pressure, step up to the plate and do something about it.

Following all the steps to successful weight loss can be frustrating at times, but you have to make sure you are taking the road to success: be persistent, be dedicated and stay focused throughout.  Even after all of the effort in the battle to lose weight and be healthy—still nothing to show?  Not seeing the results you want to?

Haven’t we all had the moments that seem like our hard work will never pay off? Well, pay very close attention to what I am about to say now…

Forget about the concept of BMI and “healthy weight” depending on size and shape, those are all things of the past.  The most important concept in weight loss is the dedication to Live a Healthier Lifestyle.  It is all about calorie consumption and exercise at the end of the day.  Making sure you are eating a Balanced diet for weight loss.  You may want more concrete examples of a balanced diet for weight loss, so consider the following:

  1. Proportion:

Size matters.  When you go out to eat, or are cooking a big meal, make yourself take half and pack it in a to-go or microwavable container later. This will help with overeating and you will be surprised how full you feel after eating only half of a portion of your meals.

  1. Fruits and Veggies:

Remember that you can never eat enough fruits and vegetables.  Fruits and vegetables have properties that when eaten, fill you up. When you feel hungry, grab some fiber in the form of an apple or some broccoli. Any fruits and vegetables will do, so find the ones that you love and make sure you replace all the candy and bad snacks with your fresh fruits and veggies.

  1. Hydration:

Many times you feel hungry when you are actually thirsty.  Hydration is the main key to any successful, balanced diet. A good pro tip is to drink water or soda water. Especially if you are a soda / pop addict.  Soda water, or seltzer water gives you the carbonation of a soft drink, minus all the bad sugars and other fillers.

  1. Mental focus:

When you maintain your focus, you don’t lose sight of your goal. Don’t allow yourself to give up.  Make sure you focus mentally at the beginning of each day and you will be one step closer to attaining your goals.

  1. Make a list in a notes app, or calendar:

When you feel a craving coming on, make a note of the craving, so you can have a reminder on your “off” or “cheat” day(s).  You have to give yourself things sometimes.  If I’m craving a Milky Way, I will buy a Three Musketeers instead and not limit myself.
